Ease of Use & Interface
Let’s talk about the ease of use and interface of both Canva and Crello.
Canva is best known for its ease of use, and this is because of its clean user interface which makes it easy to play with different functionalities without frustration.
Not just that but the drag and drop editing makes it super accessible, even for beginners in designing.
You can easily drag and edit image format, font, size, background, effects, elements, and more.
All the major features of Canva make online graphic designing and sharing very easy.
You can download, share, and publish your designs online directly via email, link or social media integrations.
All in all, the predesigned templates, formats, drag and drop feature, easy sharing, publishing, and clean interface makes it a time-saving tool for anyone.
Crello is also one of the easiest graphic designing tools and there’s not a big difference between both tools in terms of ease of use and interface.
They both have a clean user-friendly interface and look similar. Let me show you the interface of Crello.
As you can see, the interface of Crello looks similar to Canva.
Like Canva, it is also a drag and drop graphic designing tool that lets you easily drag and drop any element.

So, these are the main features both Canva and Crello offer you in their free plans. Finally, let’s pick the winner.
Crello Free vs Canva Free: The Verdict
In terms of comparing the free plan of both platforms, the winner is Canva. A few months ago, there weren’t many limitations in Crello’s free plan, but recently, the free plan of Crello becomes very limited.
The biggest downside of the Crello free plan is the download limit and no team collaboration.
However, there are some features that Crello offers you in the free plan that Canva doesn’t such as unlimited folders and storage, uploading fonts, resizing designs into any format, and downloading designs with transparent background but these features are useless if you have to create more than 5 designs every month.
Crello Pro vs Canva Pro
Both Canva and Crello provide you the features you need to create stunning designs, neither will let you down.
However, there are some features one may offer but the other one doesn’t. I am going to cover all the main features both tools have to offer in their pro plan so you can choose the one that suits your needs.

Crello Pro vs Canva Pro: The Verdict
Another win for Canva. Both Canva Pro and Crello Pro offer many common and unique features that no other online graphic designing tool offers but Canva provides you more features and access to significantly more content than Crello.
Features like the brand kit, set-download quality, content planner, download designs in SVG formats, and designing together in real-time with your team and getting access to significantly more templates, photos, videos, and graphics make Canva the winner.
Overall, I strongly recommend Canva over Crello if you want to create static graphics, however, Crello is the right option for you if you want to create mostly animated designs.
Integrations
Third-party integrations and apps make our process even easier, let’s take a look at how Canva and Crello compare when it comes to integrations.
Crello Integrations
Crello doesn’t offer third-party integration. However, you can share your designs on social media directly from Crello.
Canva Integrations
Canva has tons of third-party integration and apps. It is integrated with almost all the popular social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and also integrated with commercial-free stock platforms such as Pexels, Pixabay, etc.
The cool thing is that you can Embed someone’s social posts like Twitter tweets, YouTube videos, Soundcloud music, and much much more into your designs.
Here’s how I added my Twitter tweet.
Besides, you can also integrate with many services such as HubSpot, Box, or you can connect your file hosting services such as Dropbox or Google Drive to import or export your designs directly within Canva.
It is also integrated with email marketing services like Mailchimp.
I can’t mention all the integration and apps that Canva supports but it allows you to integrate with tons of apps and services to help you offer even more powerful features for creating professional-looking designs.
Take a look at a quick overview of Canva Apps & Integrations:
For more details, check out my previous PicMonkey vs Canva guide where I covered Canva’s integrations in detail.
Integrations: The Verdict
This is a no-contest – Canva is the clear winner when it comes to integrations.
Pricing
A crucial factor to consider when choosing between Crello and Canva is how much it’s going to cost you, so let’s talk about pricing.
Canva Pricing
Canva offers three pricing plans:
- Free – $0
- Pro – $12.99 on monthly basis or $119.99 on yearly basis, for up to 5 people which means you and your other 4 team members will also have access to Canva Pro. However, giving access to each additional member will cost you $7 per user.
- Enterprise – $30 per month, per user. This plan requires a minimum of 25 people since it is for large teams.
Since Canva offers a 30-day free trial, I recommend getting the free trial before spending your hard-earned money on premium plans.
For most people, the Pro plan will be the most suitable but if you have a large corporation and have to empower your team, manage your brand, and scale your content all in one place then the Enterprise plan is the right option for you.
Crello Pricing
Crello has two pricing plans:
- Starter: $0
- Pro: $13 per month or $120 per year ($10 a month – Save 23%).
However, if you are thinking of getting the annual plan of Crello then I’ve an exclusive offer for you, you can get yearly access to the Crello Pro plan for the discounted price of $67 (original price: $95.99).
Pricing: The Verdict
It’s a tie! Both has the same pricing for their PRO plan, however, Canva is a better value for money overall.
Customer Support
Crello provides customer support via email (support@crello.com) and it also doesn’t have phone support.
To get answers to some of the common questions visit their Help Center where you’ll find answers to common questions and tutorials on how to use Crello.
Canva on the other side provides customer support via their contact form.
If you’ve questions regarding Canva or want to learn how to use Canva then instead of contacting them you can browse through their Help Center articles first. However, if you want to report an issue then you can contact them via this contact form.
Please note, if you’re on a pro or enterprise plan, Canva claims to give you priority support.
Customer Support: The Verdict
This battle is a tie because both offer the same customer support options. The only difference is that Canva lets you contact them via the form, whereas Crello provides you the email to contact them but the process is the same.
I think customer support is not a big issue because most of us won’t need it.
If you ask me which one has better customer support, sorry I can’t tell you because I never had an issue using both tools that’s why I never contacted their customer support team.
However, I asked some people who’re using these tools and they said that their customer support is not the greatest.
Conclusion
If you ask me, which one should I use? My recommendations always fluctuate depending on your specific needs and situations.
Before I wrap up this guide, here are my recommendations based on the type of user that you are and what you expect from your designing platform.
You Should Go With Canva If:
- You are primarily designing static graphics.
- You need more features, collaboration tools, and tons of integrations with third-party apps and services.

- You want to download your designs in high resolution, and also in SVG format.

The better platform for you ultimately comes down to what you’re looking for. That said, my testing found Canva to be the winner.
Here’s the thing: Crello is a great alternative to Canva, but we simply can’t deny that Canva is more powerful and popular than Crello.
Moreover, both platforms offer free trials, Canva for 30 days and Crello for 7 days so why not test out their premium plans without losing any money.
Hopefully, this article has explored all the ins and outs of Canva and Crello and now you’ve got a much better idea of who to pick.
Now it’s time to hear from you.
When it comes to the Crello vs Canva battle, which online tool do you prefer?
Let me know right now by leaving a comment below.
Canva is great, but I use Crello Pro for most of my designing now because video pins are hot on Pinterest and Crello offers more unique photos and video clips. Sometimes the photos available on Canva, especially the free version, get overused. Even though the lifetime deal for Crello Pro has now expired on AppSumo, they are still offering an excellent annual discount price on the AppSumo site. I highly recommend it!
Is it possible to add the link into the text in Crello like in Canva?
Hey Liuba, No you can’t add the hyperlink in Crello.
With crello you can´t download videos with audio, sometimes you just want to put a logo or watermark on them.
Strange, but I can’t see any options for integrations (Twitter etc.) on my Canva.
Hey Erik, Take a look at the left side of the editor while designing and you’ll see an option “More” click on that, now from there you can see options for integrations and apps supported by Canva.
With Crello you can download PNG with transparent backgrounds, too.
Yes, you’re right.
Can you also make a comparison between Crello and MockoFun?
Hi John, MockoFun is still new in the market and it can’t compete with Crello right now, maybe I will compare them in future 🙂
