But did you know that both meet the requirements of the user differently?
So if you’re looking for a DEEP comparison of Crello vs Canva to see which one you should go with, you’ve come to the right place.
In this most comprehensive comparison, my goal is to highlight the key differences of both tools so that you can choose the right one for your needs.
I’m going to compare them in terms of:
- The Main Differences
- Ease of Use
- Crello Free vs. Canva Free
- Crello Pro vs. Canva Pro
- Integrations and Add-ons
- Pricing and Value for Money
- Customer Support
Before going to dig deeper, let me introduce you to both tools.
Introducing: The Two Competitors
Canva and Crello are online designing tools to create stunning designs with ease.
They’re both considered the best solutions for someone who doesn’t have graphic designing skills but wants to create awesome designs.
In fact, they’re the most favorite tool by social media managers, bloggers, and YouTubers to create visual content in minutes.
A few years ago, there was not any big competitor to Canva, but today it is facing a serious competition with Crello.
Which is why it’s even possible to do a Crello vs. Canva comparison.
So now it’s time to answer the key question: what is the main difference between Canva and Crello.
Crello vs Canva: What’s The Main Difference?
Canva comes with 60,000+ customizable templates, 4+ million stock photos and graphics, allowing you to create on-brand content with unlimited team collaboration, and it costs $12.95 per month. Crello has 30,000+ templates, 500,000+ stock photos, limited team collaboration (4 members), and it costs $9.99 per month.
You can see there’s not much in it, but overall, I recommend Canva over Crello. However, you can try both for free via the links below:

Ease of use: Which Is More Beginner Friendly?
We all use Canva and Crello because of their ease of use, right? But how do we know which one is easy to use between them?
Let’s see who came out on top.
Canva Ease of Use
Canva is best known for its ease of use, and this is because of its clean user interface which makes it easy to play with different functionalities without frustration.
Not just that but the drag and drop editing makes it super accessible, even for beginners in designing.
You can easily drag and edit image format, font, size, background effects, elements and more.
All the major features of Canva make online graphic designing and sharing very easy.
You can download, share, and publish your designs online directly via email, link or social media integrations.
All in all, the predesigned templates, formats, drag and drop feature, easy sharing, publishing and clear interface makes it a time-saving tool for anyone.
Crello Ease of Use
Crello is also one of the easiest graphic designing tool and there’s not a big difference between both tools in terms of ease of use.
They both have a clean user-friendly interface and look similar.
Let me show you the interface of Crello.
As you can see, both look similar.
Like Canva, it is also a drag and drop graphic designing tool which lets you easily drag and drop any element.
I’ll cover more about the features later but now the winner in battle of ease of use is…
Ease of Use – Winner: Tie
This battle is a tough one because both are easy to use.
Both Canva and Crello are drag-and-drop graphic designing tools which means you simply select the element you want (such as images, shape elements, photos, etc.) and drag it to where you’d like and positioned on your page.
Who Offers More Features In Free Plan?
It all starts with the features and when it comes to features, Canva vs Crello is a tight-run contest.
Both tools offer free and pro plans but before we dive into what you’ll get with the pro plan, first let’s discuss how they compare when it comes to the free plan.

So, these are the main features of both Canva and Crello’s free plans.
Now it’s time to pick the winner for you if you’re going to use the free version of these two tools.
Free Plan Features – Winner: Crello, but it depends as well.
This is a close one, but we’re giving it to Crello but it depends on your needs as well. How? Let me answer.
If you want to upload custom fonts, need unlimited folders and storage, resize your designs into any format then Crello is the clear winner.
However, Canva beats Crello in terms of a free plan when you need to share your designs with anyone with editing capability.
Who Offers More Features In Pro Plan?
Here’s the thing to remember: both provide the features you need to create stunning designs and neither will let you down.
Since you’re reading this post means you’re more likely to choose the pro plan of Canva or Crello.
But note: It’s not possible to cover every little function.
However, there are plenty of unique cool features that I’ll touch to help you make the right decision of choosing Canva or Crello.
Here’s a quick comparison of Crello vs Canva pro plan features. After that, we’ll go through each feature individually to see which one works best for you.

Now you know the pro plan features and why should you upgrade to Canva Pro, it’s time to cover…
Crello Pro Features
Team Collaboration
You can create a team of 4 members where all members can create designs in one space, anyone in the team can view and edit each other’s designs.
Once you upgrade your Crello plan, you’ll see the “Create a Team” option on your profile menu.
However, I already created it by the name of “Blog” but you can create your own team from here.
Once you create your team then you’ll have to invite team members, and to do that click on “Team Settings.”
From here you can invite your 4 team members.

To learn more about crello’s animation maker watch the video below.
Besides all these features, you get common features such as:
- Unlimited storage
- Unlimited folders
- Resizing your designs into any format
- Upload custom fonts, etc.
Now it’s time to pick a winner in terms of pro plan features.
Pro Plan Features – Winner: Canva
I have to say Canva is the overall winner in the “pro plan feature” department. Honestly, both Canva and Crello have unique features that no other online tool has.
But Canva’s unique features (especially their unlimited team members collaboration, brand kit pro, download images in background transparent) are a must if you are working with a team or want to create branded designs for your brand.
However, one pro feature of Crello I personally like more than Canva is the animation templates and elements.
In Canva you can only download your designs in a few animation styles while Crello allows you to choose awesome pre-designed animated templates and elements.
Crello vs Canva: Integrations and Add-ons
Third-Party tools and services make our process even easier, let’s take a look at how Canva and Crello compare when it comes to integrations.
Remember: Crello doesn’t offer third party integration, whereas Canva does, so we’re going to talk about what those integrations are and how they can help you.
Canva Integrations
Canva has a tone of third party integration and apps. It is integrated with almost all the popular social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and commercial-free stock platforms such as Pexels, Pixabay, etc.
The cool thing is that you can Embed someone’s social posts like the Twitter tweet, YouTube video, Soundcloud music, and much much more into your designs.
Here’s how I added my Twitter tweet.
You can also integrate with many service providers such as HubSpot, Box, or you can connect your cloud storage account like Dropbox or Google Drive to import or export your designs directly in Canva.
Besides that, it is integrated with email marketing services like Mailchimp.
I can’t mention all the integration available on Canva, but there are so many cool apps and services you can integrate your account.
Crello Integrations
Crello doesn’t offer third party integration. However, you can share your designs on social media directly from Crello.
Integrations and Add-ons – Winner: Canva
This is a no-contest – Canva is the clear winner when it comes to integrations.
Pricing and Value for Money: Where Should You Invest?
A crucial factor to consider when choosing between Crello and Canva is how much it’s going to cost you, so let’s talk about pricing.
How much does Canva cost?
Canva lets you pay monthly or yearly and has two pricing plans, Pro, and Enterprise. The Pro plan costs $9.95 per month when billed annually or $12.95 monthly. The Enterprise plan costs $30 per month, and there’s a 30-days free trial as well to test it out.
How much does Crello cost?
Crello offers a monthly or yearly pro plan. The Pro plan costs $7.99 per month (billed annually) or $9.99 per month per user.
It also has a 14-days free trial of Pro plan.
Help and Support: Who Has the Better Helping Hand?
Canva provides support especially through email (available from Monday through Friday) and sometime you’ll get support via their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
You can also visit their Help Center to resolve the most common issues when using Canva and watch tutorials on how to use Canva.
If you’re on a pro or enterprise plan, you’ll get priority support whereas the free user won’t.
Crello on the other side provides customer support via email and there’s currently no phone support available.
To get answers to some of the common questions visit their Help Center, also you can watch tutorials on how to use Crello as well.
Winner: Tie
Customer support comparison is a tie because both offer the same customer support options (you get support via email on both platforms).
I think customer support is not a big issue because most of us won’t need it. However, some people said that the customer support of both tools is not the greatest.
If you ask me which one has good customer support I can’t tell you. Because honestly, I never had an issue using both tools that’s why I never contacted their customer support team.
Final Thoughts
I am using both tools Canva and Crello because each one meets my design types needs differently.
For creating video or animation designs I use Crello whereas for an image or other graphic designs I use Canva.
However, I find myself using and recommending Canva slightly more often because of better functionality, more features, unlimited team collaborations, on-branded content, and integrations.
But it doesn’t mean Crello should be avoided at all costs. In fact, when it comes to cheaper option to create awesome videos or animated designs, I highly recommend Crello over Canva.
It’s a REALLY hard decision to make but honestly I think you can’t go wrong with either tool.
I recommend trying out the free trial of both tools to test them out and then make a decision on which one to choose.
- Try Canva Free (30 Days Trial)
- Try Crello Free (14 Days Trial)
And that’s it! Hopefully, this article has explored all the ins and outs of Canva and Crello and now you’ve got a much better idea of who to pick.
Now it’s time to hear from you.
When it comes to the Crello vs Canva battle, which online tool do you prefer?
Let me know right now by leaving a comment below.
Is it possible to add the link into the text in Crello like in Canva?
Hey Liuba, No you can’t add the hyperlink in Crello.
With crello you can´t download videos with audio, sometimes you just want to put a logo or watermark on them.
Strange, but I can’t see any options for integrations (Twitter etc.) on my Canva.
Hey Erik, Take a look at the left side of the editor while designing and you’ll see an option “More” click on that, now from there you can see options for integrations and apps supported by Canva.
With Crello you can download PNG with transparent backgrounds, too.
Yes, you’re right.
Can you also make a comparison between Crello and MockoFun?
Hi John, MockoFun is still new in the market and it can’t compete with Crello right now, maybe I will compare them in future 🙂
